Pretty much through with the Eternity Forum.

I really don't know why I hung around there as long as I did to be honest.  I wasn't really doing anything productive since I got my 5800.  But I'm pretty much through with that forum.  They like to dis our phone more than I like.  Some of the members there get so easily frustrated whenever I even mention the name 'Nokia' let alone '5800'.  Sheesh!

The second I got my phone I was done with that forum. Although it was nice to have such an active forum. Personally if I did not have the cash to get this phone, I would have gotten tired of you mentioning it all the time too, lol. But since I found money to get it, it did not bother me one bit. You were the reason I got it. Nokia should give you some cash for helping me out, lol.

I always tried to help people around there that were let down by the phone and were looking for an alternative.  I didn't 'force' anyone to get anything. They complained about their phone and wanted an alternative and I gave them one.  Simple as that.

To bad about the Eternity forum. It was such a nice place to visit at first, but then the lack of support, and disappointment with the phone, and all the update rumors proving to be false really soured the attitude there. So much wasted potential in that phone. It could have been a contender, but Samsung dropped the ball.

A friend of mine wanted to google something while we were walking her dog the other night, and she was really impressed with my phone, and especially the browser. She has an Impression, which is pretty nice as well, but the Nokia browser and the higher resolution screen really blew her away. The 5800 made quite an impression on her.

The situation on the Behold forum was very similar - some people got irritated by the fact that I sold the Behold for the 5800, whereas I was only trying to point to a very good alternative to whoever was not happy with the Behold as I was - I sold my Behold for same price I paid for the 5800. Both the Behold & the Eternity forums were much more active than this one - hopefully it picks up as more people see the light and get a 5800 :-)

BTW, I realized I could easily make the switch after one of you guys posted this on the Eternity forum, pointing to a Dell 5800 sale, and I'm very grateful for that.

we need to convert some of these"hackers" from those forums to get some stuff done on this handset.
im just not that "guy",im good a t finding stuff,just not so good at the harder stuff like firmware  mods and such.
you would think they would want to work on something a little better
