I have no trouble with the touch screen. It is easy to use and very responsive.

There were some issues early on, but those were fixed with firmware updates. However, many of the reviews were made when the phone was relatively new with the early firmware, so don't worry too much about the issues reported in the reviews. Most (if not all) have been fixed and the phone works great now.

As for the phones in your list above, that's quite a diverse group. You have a business phone, a high end (expensive) multi-media phone (assuming that you are talking about the i8910 Omnia HD), and a value-priced touch screen phone. It's hard to make a fair comparison. The 5800 is simply not in the same class as either of the others. The Blackberry is a better business tool, the Samsung Omnia HD has superior hardware and better media capabilities, but neither offers the "bang-for-the-buck" value of the Nokia.

If you are looking for something in the Nokia stable to replace an Omnia HD, the N97 might be a better choice.

If you meant one of the lower end Omnias, then the 5800 may be a viable replacement. Samsung's Touchwiz UI is a lot nicer than Nokias, but once you get used to it, the 5800's UI is quite simple to use.

I agree. I have not had any issues with the touchscreen portion of my phone. The only issues I have and still have are my phone hanging up on people ALL the time. Nokia says it is cause I find a bad spot in my signal. Well if I truly find the tiniest bad spot and it just hangs up rather than looking for the connection, I do not know. This is the only phone that has even done this to me. So that kind of upsets me. This is why I want to get my hands on a Blackberry Storm to play around with. They have done some big updates for that phone too so I think it might be a pretty darn good one. I looked at Blackberry's site and that phone has both capabilities. This is why you can find it from a Verizon user and then unlock it and use it on our network.

I have an Omnia and a 58 hundred.

This is my opinion

What I like

Customization
I like omnia's ability to completely customize It's UI, and I'm not talking about theme here.
(Examples HTC Touch Flo, SPB Shell and Android UI etc.)
I can't completely customize my 58 hundred, but it has, well hundred of themes one for every day of the year, and growing.

Fingers
I love the finger friendly, stylus free code that Nokia uses on it's devices.
I can open a web link the width of a nickel without problems.

Web
I like Omnia's web browser, Why?
Opera lets me open and switch between several web tabs at the same time
(currently I have it set to max out at 8 tabs).
Love the kinetic scrolling.
Swiping on the right side to zoom in or out is nice.
I like that it sets to fullscreen mode automatically.

Battery
My 58 hundred is more conscious about wasting battery, It is a green scary machine
Example
On a normal day I will use my WIFI for about 10 hours, listen to music with my bluetooth headphones for about 30 minutes,
and surf the internet for 2 hour, take a couple of photos, and maybe 1 video
By the end of the day my 58 hundred remains with 40% to 45% battery life,
on the other hand my Omnia only remains with 0% to 5% battery life

Photos and videos
Photos and videos taken on my Omnia are, well you decide.

Omnia

58 hundred

Reliability
My Omnia crashes about once a week, and to me it's a little unstable.
My 58 hundred crashes about once a year,

Apps,
Apps truly makes your device more useful, and currently there is more useful app for Omnia
(Case and point Skyfire, if i ever need to surf the web on full flash Skyfire is a nice alternative,
And with Resco Explorer I can Map a home network, and transfer media over WIFI at 500 KB per sec.).
But Ovi Store is growing and fast, And Microsoft Marketplace is not available for Omina I900 until December.
As we go into the future it's more or less a coin toss it may go either way.

What I don't like
There is one thing I don't like about my 58 hundred and my Omnia and it is the lack of a physical keyboard, there is to substitute for a physical keyboard.

What would you like to know?
