Hi, i recently brought a 5800 and it is working well, however unless i have missed a setting somewhere their doesn't appear to be any confirmation that a text message has been sent.

On my old sony phone after i push the send button a message pops up and says that "your message has been sent", on the 5800 after i click the send text message button, it drops me back to the contacts list, and makes me wonder if the text has been sent, the only way i see of checking is by going in to the messaging section and checking the sent items folder.

I have also turned on the delivery report item, and still get nothing to say that the text has been sent, or received at the other end.

So am i missing something, or is Nokia missing something!.

Or you can always check your sent folder to see it in there. If you still see that icon at the top right of your phone then you will see it in your outbox. Once that goes away, it should be saved in your sent folder.

if im not mistaken...the recieve report will tell you that the other person recieved the text to there phone
