just download what ever you need to the computer then in stall or what not to the phone

If you have a PC with both wired and wireless connections, and you are using it wired, then you could use the PC wireless with ICS (Internet Connection Sharing).

Otherwise just get a cheap router. You should be able to find a "G" router for $30 or less. I recently got a Trendnet "N" access point for $29.99 from Amazon (no tax and free shipping). I already have a really nice wired router, so I just added the access point.
