It always says "License expired or missing."

And gallery won't open, too.

What videos are you trying to play? Sounds like they are DRM protected.

If they were purchased from someplace like Amazon Unbox you will need to hook up to your computer again to re-establish your license (they must have gotten deleted).

If they were transfered from a DVD or BD with a "digital copy" option, then it is either in a format not supported by your phone (iTunes, PSP), or you need to do the transfer again and follow the directions to get the proper version and license.
