Yes you are right, it will be running symbian 3. I took a guess last time as to what number, lol. But I was just saying if they make every phone after that one a windows mobile, I just wonder how long they will continue support for symbian based phones.

Well got an email today from Nokia. Looks like they are sending me another 5800. I hope it is a new one and not a refurb tho. I will have to contact someone to ask. Has anyone else had this experience and know whether they send new or refurbs?

Well it turns out I am getting a refurbished phone (dang Nokia). So my warranty ends this month and this phone is just a phone made up of used parts. It will die on me probably sooner rather than later. This sucks. Then I will be out of a phone. Nokia has this promotion going on right now, but a phone $299 and up and get a free phone. Free phone is randomly selected though. This blows cause the N97 mini and X6 and even the e72 is included in that free phone. Well I could go and spend close to $600 on the N900 and get say the X3 ($150 value), and someone else can go spend $299 and get the n97 mini for free. They need to fix this cause if I spend that much money they had better give me the better phone, but you know they won't. I told Nokia I will buy the N900 right now if you can tell me that I will get either the n97 mini, X6 or e72 and they won't say anything. It's like, you are going to make money off of me right now cause I will spend all that money for the N900 which I normally would not do. I think I am pretty much done with Nokia once my newly refurbished 5800 dies.

Well my newly refurbished phone came with v21 on it, lol. I hooked it up to search for updates expecting v40 and got v50. So that is nice to be able to update to latest version. Have not noticed anything though. I was hoping in the new version they would allow calendar entries to be displayed on the home screen while using both the contacts and shortcuts bars. Oh well, can only keep hoping.

Oh man, one thing I just noticed. When you are using the shortcut bar only, you cannot have your email on the front page, unless I'm missing it. It shows up when using the shortcut and contact bars. So its like do you want calendar function or email function to show up. Freaking Nokia get your act together and allow both on any type of homescreen we choose.

Oh wow, the internet is so much better in v50. They fixed so many issues I had with their browser. Nokia is just taking baby steps in fixing a ton of things. And I do have to keep going back to realize that Nokia is actually updating their phones to keep them popular. Where as when I had the Samsung Eternity, they did NOTHING.

Really? What's your product code, because Navifirm is not showing v50 for any of the "normal" NAM codes?

I will let you know tomorrow CD. Right now I put a Invisibleshield on and it needs to sit for a little bit. I knew you were going to ask that though and I should have thought ahead, lol.

Type: RM-428
Code: 0561618 (is that all you needed cause there is all that other crap on the end too?)

Or do you need the first so many digits of my IMEI as the code?

Hmmm... 0561618 comes up as "LTA BLACK" which explains your update, since that product code is currently supported by v50.

I guess if there is something good about this new phone is that I will get updates before you guys, lol. But I have noticed that this phone does act up quite a bit. Sometimes the accelerometer does not work well. Sometimes the menu freezes up. Nokia is on my last nerve.
