Oh yeah I jumped on sending my phone immediately. I know my warranty ends shortly, probably this month, so I had to react quickly. They better fix it this time around cause I will not be able to send it in anymore after this.

I am running the original product code.
Not possible, since the update is not available for any of the NAM product codes yet (only that one odd NA code). You must have changed your product code.

And DJ, if you have a typical retail, unlocked NAM XM your PC would be 0577454 (it should be on a sticker inside the phone). Navigation Edition would be 0591814. There is a 3rd, uncommon NAM PC 0592207, and that's all the non-branded codes for NAM that I'm aware of.

This is the complete list of RM-428 product codes for v50 as of right now (these are the ones that PC/Ovi Suite would show v50 for).

LTA Black 0561618 (Latin America?)
Brazil Black 0561619
NA Black 0574994
Thailand Black 0581746
APAC2-AU Black 0581747 (Austrailia?)
Israel Black 0581748

I just checked FOTA on both my XM & Navi and nada, no updates available.

Nokia said my phone could not be fixed. They are replacing it now. Hopefully this one will work better, cause my warranty ends this month.

Cellular-Decay: I did not changed my product code( don`t know how this is my first Nokia my other phones were WinMobile), I send it to a Nokia repair center because of screen problem and they send me another one because mine couldn`t be repaired,  Shocked now I check the code on the back of the phone and because I live in Puerto Rico they send the Latin America version.

Model: 5800d-1b Type: RM-428
Code: 0561618

Well hopefully they send me a version 50 phone back. I actually said in my complaint area of what is wrong with the phone at the end that I wish I could just turn this in for a full refund towards a N97 mini. Wouldn't that be sweet if they actually send me a different phone like the mini or the X6. Nokia would never, and I know you guys all love your 5800, I just have had so many issues that I am very irritated. We'll see though after I get one back. Maybe I just had a very faulty one.

Earlier this evening I tried to do a update using the OVI/PC way but I didn't see that I had the update to the OS yet.

@DJ
Be careful jumping the gun though. I was reading that Nokia is thinking about scrapping the symbian os and going with windows mobile. So they are using symbian 1 for the N8 and if they end up scrapping symbian shortly after, how much updates will they actually give out towards all of our phones?

WinMo!? Where did you hear that? All I've been hearing about is Symbian3 and Meamo. God I hope they don't go WinMo. I despise all things Windows.
